We’ve been creating something for our Indian River State College college community! πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸŽ“

Our program teamed up with Student Wellness to create a Bystander Intervention Guide for ALL college students!

We shared the guide at NSO Day 1 to the new students, and we’ll be bringing it to Welcome Back events, Club Rush, and the Thrive Mental Health Fair on campus! πŸ™ŒπŸ½

If you’ve ever wondered what you can do when you witness a situation involving dating violence, stalking, domestic violence, or sexual violence, we’ve got you.

Get to know the 3 D’s of bystander intervention:

✨ Distract
🀝 Delegate
πŸ“± Document

You don’t have to do everything to do something. Knowing your options can help you choose a way to respond that feels safe for you and the person who may need supportπŸ’š

πŸ“ Visit Student Wellness U-Bldg on the Massey Campus or stop by our tables at upcoming campus events to grab your guide!

Change doesn’t always begin with a grand gesture. More often, it begins with a single moment.

A conversation that helps someone feel heard. A kind word offered at the right time. A choice to believe someone when they share their story. A reminder that healing is possible and that no one has to face it alone.

For survivors of sexual violence, these moments can leave a lasting impact. Feeling supported, respected, and believed can help restore hope and remind someone that their experiences do not define their future.

Each of us has the ability to help create a community where compassion is stronger than judgment, where empathy is louder than silence, and where every survivor knows there are people who care.

Small moments may seem insignificant, but together they create meaningful change.

Every act of compassion helps build a safer, more supportive community for survivorsπŸ’™
