In 2021, we worked with 668 new primary and secondary Sexual Assault Survivors. Of those, 414 were primary survivors and 254 were secondary survivors.

  • Ages 18-64 – 154 primary, 154 secondary
  • Ages 65+ – 6 primary. 7 secondary

  • Female – 367 primary, 197 secondary
  • Male – 47 primary, 57 secondary
  • Unknown – 0 primary, 4 secondary

2021 Race/Ethnicity: 

  • White – 298 primary, 186 secondary
  • Black/African-American – 73 primary, 38 secondary
  • American Indian/Alaska Native – 0 primary, 0 secondary
  • Asian – 1 primary, 0 secondary
  • Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander – 0 primary, 0 secondary
  • Hispanic – 77 primary, 54 secondary
  • Unknown – 42 primary, 30 secondary

  • Martin – 99 primary, 57 secondary
  • St. Lucie –  192 primary, 115 secondary
  • Indian River – 80 primary, 49 secondary
  • Okeechobee – 35 primary, 24 secondary
  • Out of County – 2 primary, 1 secondary
  • Out of State – 6 primary, 5 secondary
  • Unknown – 0 primary, 3 secondary

SAAPTC is currently working with 1,700 new and on-going primary and secondary survivors. These include victims of Adult Sexual Assault, Adults Sexually Abused/Assaulted as Children, Child Pornography, Child Sexual Abuse/Assault, and Human Sex Trafficking.
