Today, survivors of Jeffrey Epstein gathered in Palm Beach County alongside members of the House Oversight Committee to share their experiences and continue calling for accountability, transparency, and justice. These conversations are difficult, but they are necessary. Survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking deserve to be heard, believed, and supported without shame or silence.
Justice matters. Accountability matters. Survivors matter. While no hearing can erase the harm survivors endured, continuing to listen, acknowledge their truth, and pursue accountability are important steps toward justice and healing for survivors. We must work together as a community to achieve the goal of ending sexual violence, preventing exploitation, and putting a stop to human trafficking.
We recognize the incredible courage and strength of the survivors who chose to speak publicly and share painful parts of their stories. Speaking out is never easy, but their voices matter and they deserve to be heard.
For many survivors and community members, hearing these testimonies and media coverage may feel triggering or emotionally heavy. Please know you are not alone, and support is available. Take care of yourself, reach out to someone you trust, and know that healing looks different for everyone.
Human trafficking and sexual exploitation often thrive in secrecy, manipulation, and power imbalance. Hearing survivor voices reminds us why advocacy, awareness, prevention, education, and survivor centered services are so important in our communities.
If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence, exploitation, or human trafficking, the Sexual Assault Assistance Program is here to help you. Our services are free, confidential, and available 24/7.
