The 19th Judicial Circuit Sexual Assault Response Team
Presents
3rd Annual Survivor Empowerment Walk
Sexual Assault Awareness Starts in the Community.

April is known as Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the purpose behind the month is to raise awareness and show survivors they are believed and supported.
The Survivor Empowerment Walk serves as a visible reminder that no survivor walks alone. Held each April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, this countywide event brings together advocates, law enforcement, community partners, and residents in a united show of support for survivors of sexual assault. Participants walk side by side while holding signs of empowerment that reflect messages of belief, strength, and solidarity.
Open to the public, the walk invites community members of all backgrounds to stand with survivors and demonstrate collective support. Rape Crisis Counselors will be present to provide immediate assistance for any survivor who may experience emotional distress or need support during the event.
The Survivor Empowerment Walk reflects an ongoing commitment to believing survivors, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring compassionate support for those impacted by sexual violence.
